We officially moved into our house this weekend. We were delayed a couple of weeks because we had some immense problems with the appliances we ordered from Home Depot. Every one of the items were damaged in some capacity. And it took them over a week to respond and have the new ones re-delivered. In addition, we had some delays with construction and the bathrooms. Our first order of business is to continue to focus on the upstairs and get all the bathrooms and bedrooms in good condition. At present, Lisa and Steve are living in what will be the office as we paint the MBR, the bathroom, and the walk in closet. The kids bathroom also needs work but it is in functional condition.
Homeownership
Today, we closed on the purchase of our first house. The house is located in East Brunswick, NJ. The home buying process was a long and arduous one due in large part to the difficulty presented by the sellers. I won’t go into any detail, but lets just say they did not make the process any easier. The house does need a great deal of work, however we are excited to have the opportunity to upgrade the house to the way we want it! As the days, months and years progress, we will be doing our best to keep a log and document our progress, including before and after photos to document the evolution of our home. As a general statement, our house needs a lot of work and everything needs an upgrade and a cleaning.
