This month it is Spongebob Squarepant’s birthday.  Its been 10 years since he world was introduced to Bikini Bottom, Squidward, Mr. Crab and the infamous Crabby Pattie.  I’ve also heard that Spongebob is now a $50 Million business.  In honor of this momentus occasion, Nickelodeon is offering up a Spongebob Bash, a marathon this weekend of “All Spongebob, all the time”.   So parents, clear out your DVR’s and set them to record 24/7.  You’ll be able to get all sorts of Spongebob content to keep the kids at bay when you need it!

In the spirit of the season, below is my Holiday/Birthday Gift list (my birthday is 12/12). 2003 has been a rough one, with the one exception being the birth of my son Ian. Looking forward to putting it in the books and entering into what will hopefully be a prosperous new year

I was a little taken aback when I read that it was Jim Morrison’s 60th Birthday today. Now I am hardly a fan of The Doors and I am hardly old enough to even remember any of their music (it was mildy popular by the time I was in grade school) but Morrison is still a personality that really trancends the ages. It would be interesting to see how he would have aged. Or maybe he is still alive on an island in the South Pacific. One will never know.
